The Fire Technology Program of the Santa Rosa Junior College Public Safety Training Center is approved by the State Fire Marshal's Office and the State Board of Fire Services as an accredited regional academy and offers several paths for those who have an interest in the fire service. These include a Certificate in Fire Technology, an Associates Degree in Fire Technology, the Firefighter I Academy and "In-service" courses.

The Fire Technology Program also strives to provide a number of career development "In-service" training courses for those persons currently employed (either paid or volunteer) in the profession.
