**The Santa Rosa Junior College In-Service Coursework, to include the PC 832 Arrest and Firearms  Basic Courses are certified, reviewed, approved, and accredited by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). 

 

Overview:

In close collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, the Public Safety Training Center works to meet ongoing and emerging needs for professional education for law enforcement, corrections, and public safety personnel. Entry-level training is also provided for Peace Officers, Corrections Officers, Probation Officers, Juvenile Counselors, Public Safety Dispatchers, and Animal Control and Humane Officers. All courses presented by the Public Safety Training Center are certified through the state by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and/or the Standards and Training for Corrections (STC).

Upon Request we offer a Perishable Skills Program which may include: Arrest & Control, Tactical Communications, Force Options Simulator, Driver Simulator, and Firearms.
